WEDDING DAY FAQs
That will all depend on several things. Do you want any wedding party photos before the ceremony? Do you want a first look? Do you have any special events planned? Do you have a grand exit planned? Do you want a lot of getting ready photos and fun photos hanging with your wedding party? Do you want an hour or so to relax before the ceremony? All of our collections come with 10 hours of coverage which is more than enough time to photograph the entire day.
I LOVE THEM! I cannot emphasize this enough. I have seen wedding photos ruined because someone steps into the isle to get a photo of the bride coming down the isle with their phone or giant ipad. I have had brides and grooms blocked and there isn't any photoshop that can fix that photo. We always try to get the groom's reaction when the bride first comes out as well and this has been blocked by people coming into the isle. I think ceremonies are best when everybody is emotionally present and in the moment instead of looking at the back of an electronic device and it will make for much better photos. I don't think any couple wants to look back on their photos and see nothing but cell phones and large iPads instead of smiling faces. At the reception the guest can take as many cell phone photos as they like. The best way to let the guest know you are requesting an unplugged wedding is with a simple framed sign or have the wedding planner or officiant announce this before the beginning of the ceremony.
ABSOLUTELY! Wedding planners are a blessing, trust me. It will not only ease the stress of planning a wedding but also almost guarantee a smooth wedding day. Wedding planners are essential to keeping your wedding day running on time and making sure all vendors arrive at their scheduled time as well.
All of our collections include 10 hours of coverage so we will probably arrive 4 hours before the ceremony is scheduled to start.
This will all depend on the season you have chosen for your wedding and what time the sun is setting. We want to make sure we have enough daylight for formal, bridal party and couple photos after the ceremony, especially if none of those things have happened before the ceremony. For winter and fall I suggest no later than 3:30pm and for spring and summer no later than 5:00pm. Of course if you have chosen a nighttime wedding this would change things up a bit.
I always suggest getting this to us as soon as possible so that if we need to make any suggestions it can easily be changed or adjusted.
I will attend if requested by the bride and groom to see how the ceremony will flow.
We have to abide by the venue and/or officiant restrictions so be sure to discuss this with them as soon as possible. How the photos will be effected will all depend on the restrictions and will definitely be discussed as soon as we are aware of those restrictions.
Yes. We require a full course hot meal if shooting 4 hours or more. Some couples have been so gracious as to have a vendor table for their chosen professionals to sit which is always appreciated and allows us to stay in the ceremony hall and be ready to shoot if something spontaneous takes place like an impromptu dance or speech.
